Broken watch hand

Hi,

Can anyone please advise me on identifying and sizing broken watch hands. I recently received a project watch (spares or repair) and the minute hand was broken with a part of it laying inside the glass.

I've removed it, but have no idea on how to identify the fit type, style or size of the hand.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

If you're completely new to watch tinkering, it can be a bit intimidating at first.  Each watch usually has an identifying model number or as is referred to in horology, a caliber number. It will usually be noted on the case back. Occasionally it's on the dial but almost always on the movement itself. Once that is known, an internet search should reveal the size hands needed. If you like, post a photo of your movement here and you'll get plenty of help identifying the hands.
