Should this wheel rest on the plate?

Hi All

Still learning on an AS 1700.  Does it seem correct that this (center?) wheel simply rests on the plate without any bushing?  I don't recall one during disassembly.

Maybe it doesn't have a bushing or jewel. There is many movements where the bearing is in the plate.

Checked a AS1700 i had . I don't have a jewel and the center wheel sits right into the plate. If it's worn you need to either find a replacement or a put a jewel in.  But otherwise just go for it.

Thank you.  I just completed the wheel train and it spins freely.
