I'm currently working on an old cupillard 233 movement and cousins doesn't seem to have a correct mainspring however they do have one that is a bit smaller on barrel diameter is this okay or do I need to look for something else, super new to all this so it's my first mainspring replacement don't want to muck it up -
I am considering selling leather watch straps, but I have a question before I blindly go ahead and produce a bunch of them. I am wondering if anybody who has worked in the industry for a while can tell me what the most common sizes are of strap pins or lug widths? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Anthony

Hello watchmakers! Now I am working on a vintage bifora movement, Bifora Cal.812. I have ruined the hairspring while trying to fix the position of it on the balance wheel to adjust the bit error. I am searching for the balance complete or just the hairspring on ebay and other suppliers but I haven't been lucky. May be I need other keywords for my search. Could anyone help me find the part I need?? Thanks!

Would it be interesting for this forum to set up a list where we could exchange things like parts and tools? I happen to have duplicate tools from my lot purchases, and feel that those could be better used. No money involved. Would that be feasible?
