Here's My Latest - Bernex - A Very Nice Make

I spotted this nice Bernex on the Bay recently and sniped it sweetly last night. It's a nice, dependable make - must check out what the actual movement is inside it. Bernex cased movements with their own stamp on the them, but I'm not familiar with this particular model. Probably an FHF... More when it arrives.

That was the same make of movement in the ladies Audax I have just finished, the quality was very good indeed.

Wow I love how the bridges are all separated like that! It must be so easy to fit back together! I've gotta stop working on cheap watches where the ENTIRE bottom (or top)  plate has to be aligned over the pivots--a freakin' nightmare.

Have you found out what movement it is?

No problem Will I have watches and pocketwatches everywhere along with movements.if you are ever looking for a part give me a shout I may just have something. Just got in an unusual Gents Rotary AS1700/01 movement, it's a Grand Prix (Monza) I think but the dial is a bit different to the ones I have seen..

Will, look under the balance wheel where there might be a movement number and manufacturer trade mark.

Had a look to see if I had any close ups of the movement to see if there was any makers symbol (under the Balance Wheel as bob has said)

but I had deleted the photos, so the only ones are from the original listing...

 

 

Very sorry I cannot help from that side of things

 

 

The watch is a very nice example from a brand still producing and was too small for my big wrists :)
