I got hooked on the ETA 6498/6497 because of the conversion work and how much its looks are enhanced even though it is a relatively simple movement. Then I saw this and went for it!

Not my favorite brand and using a Chinese movement, this is a huge watch!

Absolutely, I did some push ups first before wearing it! Heavy but looks good at a distance....smaller too :) I like to wear it in case I have a flat tire, I can always use the crown as a spare!! :)

I does look like a handcuff!!!!

I have 2 ETA 6497 watches - one Swiss, one Asian - but they look OK on my wrist.

All depends on the casing whether they look really chunky or not.

You are correct Will, I built 2 watches last week with one UT 6498 and the other with a Chineese 3600 or ETA 6497-1 clone. Even though they are certainly big due to the movement size, they don't look as chunky as this one and definitely are much lighter.

I posted a picture of them somewhere in this forum.

I thought the jump watch was big at 64 grams sans bracelet but those look rather heavy, put a beer glass in the same hand and watch that bicep grow :D

It makes Big Ben look like Regular Ben. :D

I couldn't pull off a watch that big with my skinny wrists. Enjoy you new purchase Bob!

Or one beer in each hand and.... (couldn't find a drunken smiley!)

Thank you Don!
