I have a question about a ladies Rolex 2030 I am working on....I am in need of a cannon pinion...however I noticed two choices...the 4457 and the 4457R...would someone be kind enough to tell me the difference between the two...thanks..

That is an intermediate cannon pinion construction. The 4457R  is the other part. This 2 parts sits together as a unit. Best is to buy both to get a good working movement.

I am not familiar with a secondary cannon pinion...just the one in the photo....is that the one you are referring to as secondary?...since that is the one in need and have only found one listed with that R attached to the part number...thanks

My bad there. I googled it and came up with that the Rolex 2030 4457  had in intermediate cannon pinion .  I looked at the pdf i found here. It has a  minute friction pinion 4423 . But not sure what the R stands for now. https://watchguy.co.uk/technical/Rolex/994_Rolex 2030 NEW.pdf
