I am having a terrible time with an AS 1315...I can not get the rotor to get a full swing between bumper spring...it holds fast at the spring (upper in photo) closest to the balance..it will not swing down toward ..lower spring in photo...any help would be most appreciated...is it my placement of the rotor?....thanks...

    rolex 1225

I have a question about a Rolex 1225....I am very curious about the screw just above the mounting screw for the balance cock...it seems to serve no purpose (I know I am mistaken!!) other then to spin about...it does not seem to regulate the watch nor lock the regulator arm...could you please tell me its proper use...thanks

    valjoux 7730

interesting problem with a valjoux 7730....timing well...all is good except for one item...when the upper pusher is depressed to stop the chronograph runner the hand falls...this only happens between 07:00 and 011:00....I notice that the runner is not stopped by a brake and the heart drops toward 06:00 when vertical and the upper pusher is depressed to stop the chronograph hand...the hand is tight on the runner...why does the hand fall?...thanks

    valjoux 7730

I did check the friction spring, it has a slight upward bend, putting pressure on the underside of heart cam, forcing it into the jewel...would you suggest removing the spring and increasing the bend?....thanks!

    rodna 1219-21

just came across a watch with a ronda 1219-21 movement....never worked on one before...so I'm a little confused...I read the pdf on cousins site....and ranfft.de...what is meant by "quickset by reverse setting" and "train and hand gear separately drive by the barrel"..thanks

    omega case-back

I have an omega triple date repair....the issue is that the month wheel is jammed and will not advance....if the date is advanced via one click of the crown it will stop at 31..the only way at this point to advance it to 01 is via the crown while setting the time...now the issue I am having at time with...getting the pressure ring case back off...for some reason on older pieces I have not had an issue...on this one yes!..any advice on how to remove it would be most welcome...there is no where on the case back indicating where to insert a case knife....my horotec case back remover was no help in this situation either...thanks...

    omega case-back

that is a reflection from taking the photograph..it is smooth all the way around....I considered a screw case-back...no notches to fit a tool I tried Bergeon suction grips attached to my case back remover...did not budge.....I am at a loss....

    rolex 2030 issue

I am having such a bad time with a Rolex 2030...I have completely serviced the movement...adjusted the cannon pinion to proper tension...however it takes the minute hand approximately one minute to "catch-up"...I set the hands and about 40 seconds later the minute hand starts moving..on the timer all looks good...if I take a piece of peg-wood and touch the minute hand there is a little play in it before it holds fast so it is not a cannon pinion issue...what on earth is the problems!

    rolex 2030 issue

it appears to be coming from the minute pinion...but how...it is held by a bridge/friction washer and tied to the mainspring barrel...
