Recommended Posts

Hello there ! Have been collecting for some time, but recently just took up taking apart and fixing watches. Tbh only did the taking apart so far. Took apart 2 cheap movements, and failed to put either of the fully functioning back together !! But hopefully will get it soon! Nice to meet everyone

I’ve been there. I was give some watchmakers tools from my uncle with some great books on the subject some years ago. I started with cheap watch’s of eBay and had a lot of disappointment. The turning point for me was when I purchased a binocular microscope of eBay. I personally found this much easier to use that an eye piece. I’ve had no formal training but have read a lot . I’ve just joined this forum and the courses look great and allow me to extend my knowledge. I have now restore omega, Rolex and Breitling including chronographs

Good luck

Ed
