Can't remove winder

Hello, I bought this movement and have found a new case for it. Located the bolt screw unscrewed it a turn and a 3rd but the winder wont pull out even after loosening more and pulling harder. Anybody had this issue? What to do?

Looks very like the Peseux 330 I have just dissembled.  The setting lever screw was turnable but was quite tight in the plate when i got to it.  Try pushing down on the screw as you turn it a quarter of a turn at a time whilst trying pull out the stem/winder.  It will come eventually if all is ok in the keyless works.. If not you will need to remove hands & dial to access keyless works under the dial.

Thanks very much! I tried it and it moved more than before. Will have another go tomorrow if not will take the hands and dial off. Very much a beginner so thanks for the input!

Agreed. I believe you need to press down on the screw after loosening it as the setting lever spring is keeping the setting lever engaged.pressing the screw down should force the setting lever away from the notch in the stem

I noticed the crown fits on the stem via thread but I can only tighten it a few turn and it doesn't stay on or strong enough to move the hands in the clockwise direction it just unscrews each time. Is there a way to secure it properly? 7ec9b1d1f3e04023821f26b3c896f07d.jpg

      Just a small update. The watch has been on a watch stand for the last few days. It has worked correctly, there was only one time when the Date Lever moved out of place. Due to the lack of tightness, the Date Lever lifts a little each time it is activated until it eventually comes off. This process is accelerated when the watch is on the wrist. I hope to have some time soon to resolve the issue Regards

      In the other thread you will have read about inserting a hair into the hole of the roller. This would be an easy, non destructive way for a beginner to try affect a repair with a very fine synthetic paint brush thistle. The gluing idea is fiddly but can work "ok" , keep in mind how it might affect what holds the impulse pin in place if heat is required to make alterations to the roller's position afterwards. Maybe I was lucky, but a staking set I bought some years ago had 3 unused sizes of the dicussed stake. It doesn't close the hole, like a dome punch would ( trying that will crush the centre tube section ) but raises 3 notches inside the hole that which then grip the staff. Agreeing with Cees, that it feels somewhat destructive, but it did for me a few months ago. You could actually make your own very easily. Examine the tip of a 4" nail to see the 3  or 4 edges Now using something like a 3mm driver, remove the tip and form the 3 same sides, if you have a driver roller sharpener this will be easy. Now you have a stake to use on your roller by hand, take your time and be gentle !  If your stake is sharp you will be able to form the notches by pushing alone, roller will be soft.

This thread has some good photos. If you are going to buy a full watch and not just the movement on Ali, beware there are a lot of fake scam sites and it is easy to lose all of you money. Create an account first on RWI (they will go to bat for you if you have an issue with an order) and only order from one of the 'trusted' dealers listed on the forum. Only use the URL shown there as if you google the name of the dealer there are a lot of fake sites with an url off by a letter or number.
