Rolex 540 - Cortebert 526 parts are the same but is the main plate ?

Hi, i have a Rolex 540 pocket watch and the main plate has excessive wear around were the winding stem sit's,

I know all the parts from a cortebert 526 are the same but will there be a problem if i try to use a main plate from the cortebert ?

i know the bridges look slightly different, the 540 stamp will be a bit of a giveaway as it won't have one, the more i write the more unlikely this fix (bodge) sounds,

Parts are going o be real problem. A donor movement is your best bet & that will be difficult. This site is always a good source.
