Watch Crown Replacement

So I am getting really frustrated with finding the right Crown to fit a case for a watch I have repaired. I bought two crown kits with multiple crown sizes off the internet and one of the kits turned out to be the right size for screwing the stem into the crown, however, the crown does not fit over the case tube and I am not sure how to size this. It actually looks like these generic crowns have a washer that you need to first remove? Please please help.Old Crown

So is it the inside of the tube or the outside of the tube and is this the tube on the case?

Outside of the case tube (correct term: pendant tube). If you look on the Cousins website then it will state the pendant tube size and the stem tap (stem diameter).

On this watch case photographed, crown radius should preferably not exceed the cut-away on the case behind where the crown sits.

Agreed, but what do they mean by pendant size? Is that the size of the tube on the crown or the tube on the case and inside or outside radius? (funny I can set friction jewels but I can't figure this one out)

The pendant tube itself. The crown manufacturer then chooses a hole size and O-ring combination which they deem suitable for this tube size.
