284x Novodiac spring size?

First time installing a novodiac spring on my 2846 and it soon went flying.  Been on my hands and knees searching for an hour and no joy.   Guess I'll need to order some spares from cousins.

Would anyone know what size I need to order?   Is it Novodiac 231 (1.65mm) or 232 (1.45mm).  

Wish they used the incabloc system.  thanks.

You probably need a tool also? Think the kif tools work for novodiac springs?
