Hi, If anyone can help me, my question is about  removing  balance jewels.

I saw Mark's great video  on full strip-down of a GMT, and I've just stripped down my own cal. 3075  GMT.

I have  cleaned all the parts, and I've put back in place the balance and cock.

I want to remove the balance jewels to clean them seperately.

My question: After lifting the Kif spring and cap jewel, can the balance pivot jewel be lifted out from the cock, and ditto for the other side?

Also is it  OK to suspend the  balance/cock/plate assembly  in the ultrasonic minus the balance stones?Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know how is it at Rolex but in a common incabloc or parashock the hole jewel comes off the setting. Or use rodico to grab the jewel. It can stick in the setting if to much oil was added and it is gummed.

Just take off the cap jewel and put back the spring, and the whole balance assembly in the mainplate and give it an ultrabath.

Thanks for your reply,  szbalogh. Yes, I posted too soon (I realised, of course the stone comes out, otherwise the shock system wouldn't function in the lateral axis...)

Cheers
