It's not quite a bezel, but that part of the watch. The glass fits into which is fine and a nice tight fit after replacing that.

but the bezel part (for description) is a separate pop off part from the case to remove the movement.

when I took it off there was no apparent gasket, but putting it back on is "not really tight enough to be secure" in my opinion.

it is pictured in place in the image on this old watch, but does anyone have advice as to what I should use to secure it into place.

any advice most appreciated

thanks Dan

I think you are talking about the Bezel that looks like a coin edge?  Did you use a watch case back press to press it back on?  If not that might be something to try?.....  Cheers!
