Hi guys

I have a 1970's Tissot Automatic date watch which runs well and keeps time for 23 1/2 hours.

The problem is that when the date begins to change at about 11.30 the watch loses exactly

10 minutes until completion at midnight. The watch will stay at exactly 10 minutes slow until the

next night when the same is repeated. It never stops and the tick is strong. Now I presume the

problem is the date change taking power from the general watch motion. What I would like to know

if anyone can help is where the likely problem might be. Might it be a lubrication problem or Main spring

(Automatic)?    Many Thanks

The problem is (most likely) a lose/slipping cannon pinion. If you enter these terms on the search window top right you will find many discussions about that.

Normally if it is a canon pinion issue when you turn the winder to adjust there is no resistance & all feels very loose.

There should a bit of friction when adjusting.
