Hi, ok first question of many i expect...I bought an old beat up watch from a car boot, not working, fully wound. I thought as it was cheap why not have a go and try and breathe some life into it. took the back off and it's a swiss st96 movement.(I understand these were made in their millions) Anyway i had a look on youtube for any 17 jewel swiss movement walkthroughs and couldn't see anything similar. Had a look on here and found a walkthrough by Lawson, it's great how people take the time to photograph and write these walkthroughs, it must take hours but helps us mere mortals so much, so thank you. Well i started following and couldn't find the hour wheel he was talking about, turns out it was missing, also in my amateur guns blazing i managed to let the click spring fly across the room never to be seen again. my first question of many is.....can anyone point me in the right direction in the uk for these parts? i have looked on cousins and it mentions fhf parts, is this the same thing? Otto frei seems to have them but thats in the USA isn't it? I wait with baited breath, thank you. Dave.

On Cousins look under "ST, Standard" and you will find the ST96 parts. They list both parts that you need but be careful, there 2 different hour wheels of different heights to accommodate different dial thicknesses. Get the wrong one and you will have problems getting everything to fit. If you don't know which  is the right one you could always get both as they're not expensive. There are also 2 different click versions that have been used on the ST96 so you will need to identify which one you have.

Good luck.
