Bulova 10Bh Jewel Issue

on a bulova 10BH i am working on there are there cap jewels on the dial side..escape/pfa/balance..i noticed on the movement i have that the flat side of the jewel fits to contact the pivot head on the escape and pfa..convex side up..however i noticed that the domed convex side of one cap jewels fits against the balance pivot head..is this not upside down?..the plate holding the cap jewel has the chamfer that allows the screw to counter-sink leaving the flat side of the jewel "up" and the convex side against the balance pivot..am i looking at this incorrectly??
