Hey all -

I've been into watches for a while but just lately have moved my interest to the inside of mechanical watches. A couple friends (who I teach with me at the engineering school where I work) and I have just recently started taking apart movements to see how things work. We're hooked and hoping to keep exploring and mayb e some day fixing a broken watch. You all seem to be the people we need to look to for guidance.

Thanks for all the info you've already shared.

Welcome Tim, the more nerds the merrier.  What strikes me about your post is that you have a group of you interested.  Many of us here are watch repair loners, without the forum and others, we would have no like company to bounce off.  Enjoy the forum...... we bounce a lot ......in some of the strangest ways 😅

Thanks all -  The more the merrier indeed! Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure I'll be popping in for input/advice soon. Now to get my friends to join up as well.

All well.
