I live in Singapore and the climate here is very hot and humid all year round. My clocks suffer from corrosion and rusting quite badly.

The pivots can rust until the movement stops only after 4 years after a full service.

I'm wonder if VCI paper can be put inside the clock case to prevent rusting of the steel parts inside the movement. Will whatever active compound of the VCI affect the function of the clock?

A tricky one. On some steel old clock stock parts I put anti rust paper with the parts and it worked here in England. I looked on the net and some say moist sawdust helps, but I would say that will soon dry out, another was to use wax but you can't do that with clock movements. Have you asked people about this.

I have mantle clocks, anniversary clocks, carraige clocks, table alarm clocks, cuckoo clocks, grandmother clocks, marine clocks and an Atmos clock.

I just wonder why clocks are not made with stainless steel.

I also live near the see and it is humid here. I have dehumidifier in every room and they work non-stop all seasons but summer. I drain in the sink 3-5 liters of water from every dehumidifier every day
