Frontier watch tool laboratory / FRT

Don't know what this is. Has a plaque where it says it is Made by frontier watch tool laboratory. Says frt trademark made in Japan On another sticker.

The base is 3.5x6 in roughly, cast iron with hammered paint finish. Very solidly made.

Can anyone tell me what it is? Photos in link.

Tell you what the mechanics kinds remind me of......i dont think it is...but a ring stretcher.

It looks like some sort of stretching or embossing tool but the top rollers all appear to be missing.

I expect that's what the 4 post on the base were originally for.

Whatever it is it’s for shaping metal. Not sure if it is a horological tool thou.

Here is the type I had very easy to use but You can't use it on rings with stones all the way round such as eternity rings.

Looking at it compared to OH's picture it does look like an alternative design of a ring stretcher for just bands. Instead of the arm that draws around the frame to turn the rollers the OP's makes use of a hand wheel and as Andy suggested the holding posts for the rollers, probably stack two or three on each post for various ring sizes. Not sure what the adjustable arm is that also carries a roller, unless that is the stretching roller.
