Hello all, I have been slowly getting into this hobby on the repair side and was able to pickup a semi-running Omega seamaster quartz at a decent price. However, there was an initial issue with setting the time. The date set fine, but when I went to change the time it was very stiff. I did not force it but my little attempt ended up making the hour hand stuck at the 10 o'clock position. When reaching the stiff point while trying to set the time the hands would actually move in opposite directions of each other. The minute and second hand continue on no problem and seems to be accurate. However, I am unable to change the time still as it still feels stuck. I cannot find someone with the same issues on the internet, I am welcoming advice as to if I should try to open it up some and maybe something is very obviously/easily wrong or if I should attempt swapping the movement.

Thank you all.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy. The issue with the watch is on the keyless side. However working on quartz movements is a challenge.

This is the area to be inspected.

The problem and watch repair is without opening it up and examining the watch were just guessing.

Then I've attached the tech sheet notice it's 20 years old? Quartz watches that are 20 years old should be completely serviced. When you're doing your evaluation for the complete service then you can see what the problem is as opposed to just guessing.
