Seiko SND451 Chronograph movement replacement

Recommended Posts

I want to replace the movement in my Seiko SND451 (7T92 0ED0). It has a 7T92 movement and I've read that it can be replaced with a Hattori YM92 for considerably less money. This option appeals to me but I have also read that the YM92 is 0.4mm higher. I have found a drawing of the YM92 showing the overall height of the movement and the height of the hand pinion above the main part of the movement. However, I cannot find a drawing with dimensions for the 7T92 for comparison.

So, here I am. Asking for help.

Do I need to worry about the height difference or should I just go ahead and purchase/fit the YM92 movement?
