Around £12 - £13 per litre for L n R . The Elma stuff is a little bit cheaper more so if bought in the bigger 10 and 30 litre tubs which the L n R doesn't seem to be available from Cousins. Which is all still cheaper or the same cost than if someone were buying multiple small tins of lighter fluid. -

I wonder did anyone noticed you chose a luminous green color to highlight the burn. -
That is modern so any decent clock maker will be able to under take such a job. There shouldn't be a problem.

Just did a basic search on google and they have come up with Marshall slide rests.

I have a microscope over my lathe. It can be swivelled out of the way when needed. I find a microscope’s superior magnification more suitable especially when cutting small items such as balance staffs
