Incomingt .. Tissot T12

Hi all,

 

I've been on the lookout for a Tissot T-12 with a screw-down crystal retainer for some time but they're usually priced a bit out of my budget at USD200+. It was a 'nice to have but only at the right price' watch.

 

A few weeks back I spotted this T-12 on eb@y at a buy-it-now price of USD55 and USD10 for shipping, didn't hesitate to pull the trigger! Great price but needs some work... a new crystal and crown required and most likely a new crown tube. The tabs holding the movement in the spacer are missing as well but these are not really hard to fix.  Plus points is the strap is all original and the movement pic does not show any visible water damage. The clip holding the rotor is unmarked and the surrounding area is free from scratches. A good sign as this indicates the watch has not been messed with too often (missing movement clamps aside). The dial and hands also looks good, these older Tissots usually have a lot of dial damage with paint flaking off.
