I am generally not in favor, but this is pretty ugly.  I think the owner would like it replaced.  What is on it now is a paper dial.  I see that Timesavers sells signed paper dials.

Thoughts?

This is what it says down the page. I would think it means the complete diameter. I think you will be OK with the 5 roman.

Choose from several sizes with Arabic or Roman numbers. Color is ivory. Printed on card stock paper. Sizes available are the overall diameter of the time ring. The paper it is printed on is slightly bigger and may need to be cut out to accommodate your needs. We sell a paper dial cutter separately, if needed.

I have seen paper aging on the art shows using tea/coffee staining but how sucessfull it would be would depend on the material absorbancy and its coating and the degree to which you requiure

Here is the update.  I bought two dials.  The first was a fail.  I used Elmers and it soaked into the dial and I did not get it flat.  Anyway...a dud.  Second try was using rubber cement.  Excellent result.

No, dial replacement is not always necessary. If the watch still works and the dial is in good condition, you may not need to replace it.

This is not a watch dial, Its a clock dial which was in a very bad condition.
