Picked it up yesterday for $60.  It is what my Dad called a "Bim Bam" strike. Frankly I did not know that was a proper description until I just now googled it.

The chime and timing train appear to be functional.  Just needs a good service!

Nice beveled glass and a good wood finish.  The dial has suffered the effects of time, but that is OK.

Like I need another clock...but this one sounds soooooo pretty.

Yes that is a Bim Bam and you can remove both barrels without taking the rest of the movement apart. Should have a duration of around 8 days.

The bim bam strike is beautiful.  On some of my clocks, the tines and/or the hammer interface sound a little rough (I could probably fix that but I haven't) but this thing is very pleasing to the ear.
