With seeing the pitting on the second hand would you repaint or replace it?

That second hand was not original but in any case, no. This watch was of extreme sentimental value and making changes was not an option. It had to go back looking just as it did, minus the rust and working of course :)

I do seem to read a lot of threads about rusty Omegas, are they really as good as they're made out to be?
