Has the ETA 2824 always had hacking?

Recommended Posts

Title sort of says it all.

Cleaned and serviced a 2824 (not a 2824-2) today that's going into a new case, if the latter ever gets here with all of the strikes.

I was already aware that the keyless works is different from the original to the version 2, but was surprised when taking the barrel bridge off that there was no stop lever for the hacking. I suspect that it's not been put back on a previous service but thought I'd ask if all versions of the 2824 have had hacking.

On a side note, what a pleasure to work on this movement after servicing three AS 2066 movements on the bounce that would make the pope swear. Think they were sponsored by a spring making company.
