Everyone,

I am working on a BFG866 movement. I need to replace the staff due to a broken pivot. However, I can't figure out how to remove the stud holding the hairspring. Is it friction fit? There is no stud screw as with many movements. Thought I would ask before I go mucking about.

Thanks,

To push out the stud, secure the stud carrier arm in your staking set , also the arm can  be detached from the cock ,  or you can just unpin the hairspring.

Good luck

Looks like a pain to remove and worse to reassemble.  Any easier taking the arm off instead  ?
