Is There Any Way Of Identifying A 2836-2 From A 2824-2 From The Rear Of The Movement?

The only sure way of finding out (apart from any obvious stamping) if a 2836-2 is indeed is a 2836-2 is from the dial side, and I know for a fact only the 2836-2, and 2834-2 came with the day function as well as the date.  The 2824-2 never came with the day wheel.

 

The thing is, on a few occasions I have wondered, is there any way to identify or to determine which 28XX the movement is without having remove the movement, dial and hands?

 

Obviously the above is in reference to clone movements with no stamping, I am just curious if there are any tell's I'm missing?

I know mate, I have a feeling there's no way to differentiate thew two from the rear.

Mick, the train side plates etc are identical . The engravings or the dial side are the only differences I know of.
