Omega crystals

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a good source for OEM Omega crystals?  I’m trying to source an Omega PZ5200 but every supplier that lists it notes that it is restricted and not available to mere amateurs like me.  Just wondered if I was missing anything other than surfing on ebay.  Thanks all

Hi The reason why they are restricted is because they come under the SWATCH banner who will not release parts only to their agents. Independent watchmakers/repairers miss out. As pointed out by LWS they do crop up as NOS on ebay so thats the place to look.    Generic ones can be got from the material houses like Cousins, Jules Borel, Esslingers , AG Thomas.          cheers

The other thing you want to consider: Does it >>HAVE<< to be Omega?

If what you need is a sapphire crystal of a specific diameter with a specific dome and (possibly) a specific ring, just look for that. Unless there is something specific that will identify the crystal as being an Omega crystal (an etched logo for instance) a generic replacement will work.

If you have contracted to service a customer's watch and told them you'd replace the crystal, that's another story - but you would have had to include the cost (which you didn't know) into the cost of the service. So I'm guessing that isn't the case.
