Regular gaskets will not hold the movement in the case ( a front loader).

Maybe there is misunderstanding about what a case gasket dies. In no watch it holds the mov.t. Can you post clear pictures and explain im detail the problem that you have.

Picture #2 : the maximum outside diameter is 29.50 mm

Picture #1 : the maximum inside diameter is 29.55 mm

Picture #3: shows the gap of 0.05 mm that would need to be taken up by a gasket that would have to cross over the case tube and be pinched against the case.

My question: is there a particular gasket for the this watch.

It looks like there is a groove for a gasket to sit in (yellow arrow) ?

I assume your measurement of 29.50 mm is the flat surface below the groove ?

If so, you need a gasket to sit in the groove, with an outer diameter of slightly more than 29.55 mm.

Cousins gaskets with 29mm internal diameter, and thicknesses of 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 mm etc . One of those might do it.

But, I've never seen a gasket used to hold the back in like that! Strange

Sandy

You might be able to get a gasket by calling a watch parts house, Like Cousins ( in the UK ), or Jules Borel ( in the U.S. ), using the number stamped on the inside of the case back, but it may be a bit of luck.

I think Mike has steered you in the right direction !

The case is stamped "waterproof",..so this could either be a round or flat gasket, depending in the tolerances,..so you may want to buy a few in the size range he suggests,..in both profiles.

Hard to tell because the picture is not clear enough. However I think that it could for be an or O-ring with ID 29.5 or there about, a small section diameter like 0.4mm. The flat rims of the two case halves must be able to touch each other or be very very close.
