Interchangeable watch parts (backs)

Is there a reference that would list the interchangeability of parts for watches.

My immediate problem is I am looking for a back for an Accurist watch from the 70's.

I'd buy another watch for parts if I knew that the parts could be interchangeable

Not really. Some Swiss makers published commonality information fot mov.t parts, but even these are rare.

Bestfit catalogs also have this kind of information, again it's for mov.ts not casing parts.

Finding case backs is very difficult. If it's a particular model/case number you can search for that.  Otherwise all you can do is buy a selection and hope one fits.
