Trimming acrylic crystal

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I am trying to replace the crystal on a Wakmann Regatta. For anyone unfamiliar, this one has the inner rotating bezel the crystal has to accommodate.

I haven't been able to find the original so I am trying to fit a generic sternkreuz crystal. I found a proper sized crystal which almost has enough room for the inner rotating bezel, but not quite. I figured if I managed to trim or polish off some of the inside of the crystal slightly it could fit, but does anyone have any ideas on the best way to do so, without damaging it?

I may need the same advice. I’m sure taping   It first is needed.
