Hi

The setting lever pin is stuck in the movement plate due to rust and broke during disassembly. It's an Omega 500 series. Wd-40 didn't work and I putted it in vinegar for two days but it doesn't dissolve the pin. I can't push it manually either. Any suggestions? I don't have an extractor tool.

Kind regards

Thank you, will try Alum powder then. But shouldn´t it work with soaking in vinegar?

It at least works for on screws with broken heads though.

Needs soaking in alum solution , ought to be careful to only get the pin soaked, excluding other steel parts there.

I've mentioned before, that I build a small circle of Rodico around the broken screw, then fill this mini 'well' with alum solution.

It saves possible damage to other parts.

Can't the pin be punched out?      I guess you don't have a staking set, a nail might work. if you get it to move a bit penterants would pentrate in.

Brilliant idea with the Staking set. Thanks for reminding me! It took me few seconds to punch it out and saved time. It worked like butter, the way the pin released from the plate. Thanks a lot🤓
