Update on Ingraham 30 hr clock and question about alarm pallet fork

I posted elsewhere about my Ingraham $25 clock purchase this weekend.  Well, I am servicing it.  Showing pictures of the movement before and after clean.  All is well with the movement itself.  The alarm, however, has a broken pallet fork (or maybe just call it a fork).  I show pictures of the break.

Apart from looking for one on ebay, what is the best approach?  I guess I could build one from scratch, given the right material from the fork itself.

I think you are going about it the best way. I think that is what I would do if I didn't have a replacement. I know you can buy replacement verges that is what Americans call them as we call them pallets, but this is for the alarm and not the movement.
