I am a Chinese player. Because this watch is too old, I can't find too much information on the Internet, so I found it here. I tried the 1.5v (lr1130) battery, but it didn't go. I bought a 1.55v (344) battery because I couldn't buy a 1.34v battery. Come back and have a try. I don't know the result yet. You're very unlikely to buy a 1.34 volt battery as they are Mercury-based and are no longer made.

Not a problem I use dictation software is sometimes hard to read as long as it resembles English I can usually figure out what people are trying to say

I want to check whether the circuit is good or bad. How can I check it? If it is broken, one of the resistors, capacitors, triodes is broken, or some of them is broken, I can try to buy them. What are the parameters of these three parts?

Usually in watch repair it's considered a module you just replace the whole thing. That ideally you need a source of variable voltage because you're going to need that for the phasing and a micro amp meter.

Someone else on the discussion group has made a replacement circuit board for the circuitry and not sure where that discussion is? Because if you want to start troubleshooting one of things yet the check is all the coil resistance to make sure that they haven't been scratched which is a very likely scenario

 

I think the easy way to do this for right now is you could do a search for 218 on the message board as there are lots of discussions on servicing that. Then as I said somewhere recently somebody actually made a circuit board to replace all of the electronics. But I'm sure someone those other discussions we have how to measure the coil resistance etc. which means as I said you need electronic test equipment.

I saw this discussion. He repaired his grandfather's watch, which was really awesome. As you said, I don't have so many tools, no current, voltmeter, and no variable power supply. It seems that I can only look for the whole module.

Today, the battery arrived. I replaced the battery, and then I opened the watch and cleaned it up. After assembly, it can work, but the time is much slower. Sometimes it quietly stops working, and I'm looking for reasons.

It doesn't work to replace the battery before cleaning. It works after cleaning, but it's slow.

How slow?

When you set the hands on the watch how much friction are you feeling does it feel super loose? There is a component that can wear it out which would cause the hands to move slowly typically the second hand though will stay in sync with whatever you set it to.

We really have to work on our translation here and I hope you know what you're doing because this isn't exactly a beginner's watch to service and getting everything back exactly where it's supposed to be is a challenge the index wheel has to be handled preferably extremely carefully as it's very very easy to damage it along with those two fingers. Plus ideally you need some equipment that I didn't think you had?
