I recently purchase a partial watch from eBay, and I can't identify the cal for the watch. I think someone altered the cal number. I believed there are several watch experts in the forum will help me out. Thanks in advance.

Well done Maurice!

I'm sure this watch would have had a minute hand only, the hour was recorded by the rotary disk. Some mystery dials had a second clear plastic disk with a did that indicated the minutes.

This watch would have been assembled in the USA because of the letters LXW (Longines ebauche) the balance cock.

I didn't know about the letter codes Geo, Do you think they just file down the sub second pinion in this case as i see the 340 was the cal with center seconds?
