Balance staff for Westfield 6WS

Hi everyone, and happy Saturday. 

I’ve been working to restore a Westfield 6WS for a friend (a family watch) that had some significant impact damage. So far I’ve replaced the fourth wheel (broken pivot), and found the lower balance jewel was shifted and lower balance pivot broken. I sourced a spare movement to replace the fourth wheel and reused the main plate from the replacement as it was in great shape and the jewel was in the right position (I don’t have a Horia).

The issue I have now though, is that I don’t have a balance staff. The original was broken and the pivot on the donor movement was irreparably bent. 

I’ve been this far unable to source another donor movement from eBay...at this point it seems my options are to wait for another to surface, or learn to turn one on a lathe.  

I have tried to figure out what other Westfield movements might have a compatible balance staff, but haven’t been successful in finding any material catalogs. 

Any other ideas?

Hi Dave From a little research It looks as though some westfields are based on Bulova movements, Can you post a picture of the movement along with any number etc as it may help us investigate further.  Cheers

Yes, I had heard that as well, but couldn’t figure out if/how they would match up.

Julesborel.com  lists 6ws balance complete as well.

Thanks @Nucejoe, I will check out both sites.  I didn't see anything on Jules Borel, but I'm likely not searching properly...I'll send them a note to check stock.

Search bulova, 6ws is a bulova caliber.
