Girard Perregaux (mostly?)

Greetings,

I fell in love with this watch the minute I saw the dial (no pun intended) and bought it at auction basically without having any idea about its provenance. I’m not sure all the bits and pieces are original. I was hoping someone might have some thoughts about its history. I am fine if it’s some sort of bizarre combination of GP parts. I confess to wanting to replace the case with something a bit sturdier; but won’t do it if that’s the original case. (The crown is unsigned and the steel case just feels wrong somehow.) Anyway, here are some pictures (sorry (1) one photo is sideways and (2)I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the case back).

My apologies to everyone. (Frankly, I never read instructions; one day undoubtedly I'll pay for it.) I posted a brief note in the Introduction section. I'll just add here I'm new to watch collecting and a quite a bit away from repairing; but I keep seeming to purchase watches that need repairs. I really hope to learn more about watches from this forum, and of course I suspect I'll be quite envious of everyone's skills and watches.

Thanks everyone for the replies. So it does appear that the case is a GP case, at least. Nice call, Klassiker. The lugs look like they would break off if you looked at them wrong; so my hope is to swap the case out. I bought a case where the seller posted a picture of the movement, which seems to be the same as mine, but I'm a bit nervous as the cases are not identical, especially in depth. We'll see. I have been watching videos online about how to remove a movement and I'm convinced I'm not ready to try this, but I might buy some cheap watches from the thrift shop and some basic tools to play with and see what happens (but probably not with a watch I want to actually wear).
