Name of this tool?

I've always been a bit enamored with the idea of cutting ones own jewels for a watch from natural rubies. Yes, a synthetic ruby undoubtedly has less impurities, but from what I've read, a high quality natural ruby performs just as well. Daniels covers jewel making in his book, and a lot of the work is done on a tool that he calls a "jewellers lathe", which makes sense, because it is a lathe made for cutting watch jewels, but in today's world, the term jewelers lathe is a synonym for watchmakers lathe. I am curious, is there another name for this tool? Perhaps a lapidary lathe?
