I haven't worn this for a bit so it's time for an airing.

Yet another spares or repair rescue that turned out rather well. Not running when I received it, and the case looked a little sorry for its self. The numbers on the bezel had lost most of their paint, the bezel had seized solid, and there were quite a lot of scratches. On the plus side though it did have its original signed bracelet and screw down crown.

All that was required to get the 11AOACD movement running again was a proper strip down service and re-lube. Then the bezel came off for a full de-gunk. The bezel click on this is a coil spring with a ball bearing on top which bears against the underside of the bezel ring. This had rusted solid so once I had removed the debris I improvised. The spring came from a strap spring bar, cut to length, and the ball bearing from a biro; it works a treat. Then a bit of polishing, and finally re-painting the bezel numbers.

Quite a pleasing result.
