hello everyone. This is Jay, new in this forum. 

I realise I was slowly falling in love into the art of mechanical wristwatch and it movement. hence I'm here to makes friend and get to know more people who love watches like me .

I do start my exercise of dissembling movement and learning how to service and repair them. cheers and see you guys in a bit aye.

      ??? The cannon pinion, which is your minute hand post, also drives the minute wheel. Then through a series of gear reductions drives the hour wheel ( hour hand post ) at one 12th of the rotational speed of the cannon pinion. I can see these connections made in your picture. With some wind put in the barrel both cannon pinion and hour wheel will be moving if the train and escapement are actively working. Put on the dial hands to quickly varify that.

      Thanks guys for your input ...Tried various ways but Kalanag gets first prize. It is screw back so I have removed with minimal damage. For anyone else who comes across this type of case back I've added a picture of the removal tool. Mind you it doesn't do the compass much good.

      Hello. I wanted to follow up with a few more pics in case it makes sense to anyone. The first image with the tweezers shows where the seconds wheel passes through. This is the only part that will move when wind the watch. This tube is fixed to the plate and is not movable. I can put the cannon pinion in here and it will engage with the barrel wheel directly. Putting the dial side wheels in order still gives me no idea how the minute and hour hands are supposed to move as the only direct contact is still that wheel that is part of the barrel wheel. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hi everyone, Not sure if you can assist, but here goes. I am trying to replace a few parts on my father's Rado DiaStar: 129.0266.3The crystal gasket over time has softened and melted inside the case/crystal. Additionally, when I removed the movement one of the electric contacts came off. In the attached image, the small gold fingers is what I am referring to. The electronics and movement are beside it. Where in the movement does it go? Additionally, I would like to find a set of replacement gaskets for the case/crystal and case back. can you assist with that?
