Seiko A134 Spring Bars help

Hi all. 

Got a gold tone Seiko A134 that I used to wear daily up until about two years ago when the battery died. 

Had to separate the watch band to get the battery cover off as it was stuck. Turns out someone had used a bit of broken metal to hold the clasp to one end of the band. 

I can't find the right spring bar anywhere! Needs to be around 1.2mm but with ends big enough they won't fall out the sides of the clasp. Sorry if I don't use the correct terminology here. 

I eventually bought a broken silver tone A134 just to get the spring bar out. Turns out that one is basically glued in with dirt/grease etc. Tried hot soapy water and a bar removal tool. Didn't budge. 

Can someone help me wear my beloved gold Seiko A134 again please?!
