If you must. You need to pry the prongs open like 60 degrees.(Use safety razor blade)

Loosen the cock screw couple of turns, very gently push of the cock, to pop the end stone out,  then use a pair of tweezers to wiggle it out through the prongs.

The prongs are not much of a spring, you pry too much or two many times, they may  break.

You get to clean & lube better if you take em out. Just as long as you handle the prongs gently.

Some folks just clean in place, if you got a good cleaning machine. 

This designers probably hid themselves somewhere.:lol:
