Hello from Arizona

Hello everyone,

My name is Norm and I live in the East Valley of Phoenix Arizona. I have retired twice, once from law enforcement after 20+ years and recently from adult probation. I am 66 and have always enjoyed working with my hands. I have been repairing clocks as a hobby for almost 30 years as spare time permitted. I have tried to learn about watchmaking and wanted to attend a watchmaking school once I retired. I have a family and can not afford to be away for two years to attend school in PA, OK or WA. I recently heard even some of these schools have closed? I have been a subscriber of Mark's YouTube channel for some time and recently started his online watch repair course. I have a modest library of watch and clock making books and reference material. I am a member of NAWCC and AWCI and have accumulated a few tools and movements over the years that I am looking forward to learning about.

I mostly lurk and read the comments in forums, feeling that I do not know enough to add my two cents in. I wish you all well and hope you have a blessed Holiday Season and a tremendous New Year!

Great training is accessibile by enrolling Mark's on watchrepairlessons.com. Don't be regretful about official watchmaking schools as they have a strict student selection which includes age. Self paced learning is so much better.
