Sourcing parts for seiko 7002-7009

Recommended Posts

Cheers, all

I have a 1994 seiko 7002-7009 that I purchased second hand in 1995.  It still operates and keeps reasonable time but to the best of my knowledge it has never been services.  I would like to have it cleaned and lubricated and I need to replace all the seals.  While I have it apart I am considering upgrading the crystal and perhaps the movement.  The hands and face still look good but the lume has seen much better days so I am considering replacing those as well.  This leads me to several questions.

1) what is a reliable resource to source parts for the 7002-7009

2) which parts from other seiko models will fit the 7002-7009 (will it take an SKX bezel, etc.)

3) will the 7002-7009 take one of the more modern seiko movements that hacks and hand winds?

Thanks for any help and tips.
