Well it’s finished. I just put the movement back in today after cleaning and waxing the case. It is running fine so far, fingers crossed, chiming loudly and looks lovely. I don’t want to give it back!

Well done Davey, it’s great to see yours up and running. I’ve been working on mine all day, a full strip down and ultrasound clean and put back together.

The clock is running fine but I’ve got to sort out the chimes. It’ll be taken apart a few more times before I’m done.

Well done Squiffy. You were a bit more in depth than me. The clock was not mine so didn’t feel comfortable tinkering too much with it. I think she will be happy that it is at least running and chiming now.

Get yourself your own test bed. When it’s yours and you can make mistakes and then correct them it’s so much more worth it
