When you have the matching set it adds to the value. I bought it because I like the colour of the case. -

The thing with quartz watches is the hands are much less roust and of lower mass than mechanical watches. The tube of the hand could be closed a little if you have the correct punches for a staking set or horia tool, otherwise it would be finding new hands. Tom

Not a clock guy but have had a poke around a grandfather clock. First place I would look is the drum that the weight cord is wound up to, if the cord is tangled that could be the issue. The cord/gut can also get very hard which if it is tangled would be easier to replace the cord/gut. OldHippy would be the chap to ask. Tom
