Watch Crown

Hi, can anyone advise me, I have a Seiko 5M63 A kinetic watch, I'm in the process of changing the crystal but cant remove the crown to get the movement out....

I believe you either have to pull the crown all the way out and a small flap that you can press will appear from inside the movement (close to where the stem enters the movement) or the button that you have to press is somewhere to the left of the stem. Can't remember exactly.

I put together a DIY on my blog, it documents the procedure on the 5M62 but I believe the location of the release is the same.

I should add - if I am not mistaken the stem release is most accessible when the crown is in position 2 (date setting)
